For the past fortnight I've been working my full time column at the salon and my magic backstage at the theatre. A collection of local talent performed The pantomime 'Cinderella' at the Century Theatre in Coalville Leicestershire. The proceeds raised were donated to 'The Hospice Hope' for people with life limiting illnesses.

I found the theatre hair and make-up experience to be incredibly exhilarating. As I ran up and down the halls from one dressing room to the next, my arms were filled with grips, hair and make-up brushes and glitter. Between beehive hair-ups, high brows and puckered heart lips I had my work cut out for me.
Thrown in at the deep end was the understatement of the year. As it turned out, I was the most experienced member of the make-up team and was given the principal thespians 'the evil stepmother', 'the fairy godmother', 'the ugly sisters' and 'buttons'. I will be posting further blogs on each character a step by step guide of their looks. (including photographs)

Through this experience I met the very talented set designer Emma Roulstone. Please check out her fantastic work on her website!untitled/zoom/c22j5/image1c9r
Keep reading for the panto looks.
